Description
One weak spot in the DeLorean design is the electrical circuitry for the radiator cooling fans. Proper operation of the fans is critical to keeping the operating temperature down as well as to making the air conditioning function correctly.
Fortunately this flaw is fairly easy to correct. This kit (apparently originally devised by Harold McElraft of Houston) allows for re-wiring the fan fail relay socket to match the fan relay socket next to it, and then provides separate relays to power each of the two fan motors.
In addition to reducing by half the current load, this provides the added benefit that, should one fan or relay fail for some reason, the other will continue to work and probably keep you cool. Comes complete with relays, circuit breakers, etc. and detailed instructions. Replaces 106046 for non-concours cars.
