NOTE: Included as part of the Trunk Release System (K2905DP or K2910DP) or it can be used with the manual trunk release cable. A unique feature of this kit is that it will not increase the stress on the manual trunk release cable like some other modifications do, such as adding a stronger or second spring to the latch arm.
This kit includes a custom threaded linkage rod, rod support clip, compression spring, adjusting nut, flat washer, and instructions. This kit allows the trunk to pop up when the latch is opened, and keeps it opened so that the trunk can be conveniently raised.
And it is adjustable so that the correct amount of “pop” can be set. A slight trimming modification is required to the plastic latch cover to provide clearance to the spring assist rod assembly.
